Project Introduction

DC 2.0 is Nestlé’s reimagining of workplace utility; an administrative building redesigned not just for appearance, but for performance. Nestled in the heart of a high-functioning industrial facility, this remodeled block serves as the control hub, coordination core, and client-facing front of the factory. But more than that, it now reflects Nestlé’s operational excellence, down to the last detail.

From intelligent automation to environmental control systems, DC 2.0 is future-forward and fully equipped. It speaks fluently in structure and systems, balancing bold architecture with invisible infrastructure. Everything the modern workspace needs, it now has and everything it didn’t know it needed, we’ve built in.

This is administration, elevated.

Architectural Approach

The architectural vision for DC 2.0 was rooted in clarity, control, and confidence.

We approached the remodel with surgical precision, preserving the existing structure while reinventing how light, technology, and people move through the building. Clear glass partitions and corridor glazing bring transparency to workspaces while maintaining acoustic discipline; strategic lighting ensures that energy efficiency and mood are in balance across all times of day.

The integration of building automation systems from keyless access doors to centralized lighting, CCTV surveillance, and HVAC monitoring, was not an afterthought. It was embedded from the very first line sketch. Sprinkler systems and fire controls are fully exposed, yet artfully aligned with the industrial ceiling grid, creating a visual cadence of form-meets-function.

The brick ventilation wall offers a tactile counterpoint to the smoothness of glass and metal, a porous screen that brings airflow, texture, and rhythm into the entry sequence. This duality of raw and refined is the signature of DC 2.0.

Circulation zones are efficient and intuitive. Wayfinding happens naturally. Spaces unfold logically. Nothing is out of place.

Material & Systems Specification

Every material and system were chosen with the intent; to support the building’s performance while maintaining aesthetic clarity.

  • Flooring: Full-coverage porcelain tiles in soft matte beige; chosen for anti-slip safety, ease of cleaning, and tonal warmth.
  • Walls: Two-tone paint application; matte white upper walls for brightness, light-cream base tone to conceal daily contact.
  • Partitions: Custom-fabricated powder-coated aluminum-framed glass walls; with frosted zones for privacy and seamless full-height integration.
  • Ceiling & Lighting: Suspended LED panel lighting, paired with open industrial tray systems; integrated with sprinkler lines and emergency lighting protocols.
  • Access & Automation:
    • RFID-enabled automated door entry systems
    • CCTV with full 360° surveillance coverage
    • Integrated motion sensors, central access control, and automated emergency response triggers
  • HVAC: Zoned cooling with digital thermostatic control per cluster
  • Furniture: Ergonomic workstations and high-efficiency boardroom systems, with embedded cable routing and integrated power/data ports
  • Feature Wall: Open-lay brick screen for passive ventilation and visual relief in the transition lobby
  • Security & Fire: Full sprinkler and smoke detection integration across floors, in line with industrial-grade fire safety requirements
  • Green Elements: Potted low-maintenance foliage to break visual rigidity and introduce moments of nature and softness

Final Note

Nestlé DC 2.0 is more than a renovated building it’s a signal. A signal that even in the heart of manufacturing, design matters. That systems and soul can exist in the same space. That functionality can be elegant, and elegance can be operational.

This is where industrial order meets architectural clarity.
This is where Nestlé’s back-of-house becomes front-of-mind.
